A practicing psychologist in Los Angeles, Grant offers advice on finding love on her syndicated radio program. She is sure to incite controversy with this report in which she accuses the feminist movement of fooling women into believing they can “have it all.” Case histories of the author’s patients suggest that casual sex and striving for dominance in professional and business life have robbed these woman of love in a lasting partnership with a “good man.” Grant cites personal damages resulting when the so-called Amazon jettisons the other Jungian female aspects Mother, Madonnna and Courtesan. Only by acknowledging her biological self and developing a commitment to a man worthy of her can today’s woman find true fulfillment and equality, the author argues.
